Had to work on Halloween costumes today. Faith is going to be an Egyptian Queen but they only had a size 6-8 costume left at Target. Thankfully, one of the lovely women on DAM came to my rescue. Carole had us come over and she was able to hem the costume, adjust the shoulders and add a sash so Faith didn't look like she was drowning in her costume! I love it and she'll be able to wear it for the Egyptian festival at school this spring.
Now Ben, on the other hand, could not seem to make a decision on his costume. He started off wanting to be Buzz Lightyear. We have an awesome Disney Store deluxe Buzz costume already, a leather-like jumpsuit with light up wings and boots and gloves. But noooooo, because Faith got a costume at Target, he wanted a new Buzz costume which was $20-some and not nearly as nice as his. I could have seen him ripping it first wear, there was just no substance to it. Needless to say, he pouted after that and wasn't going to be anything for quite awhile.
The 22nd was his costume party at school and he finally relented to being Buzz again. That led to a whole different problem because Buzz is a one piece costume that zips up the back and has wings that velcro over the zipper. Basically, a potty nightmare. So I talked him into being Woody for school instead (we have a million different Disney costumes). Woody had the advantage of being a two piece costume with elastic waist pants. He acquiesced and did look rather adorable.
This is his cheese face. ;o)
Halloween night is still open for other costume options.
