I spend the better part of my 32nd birthday relaxing and enjoying the day. I slept late, got a quick manicure, had lunch with Shaun & the kids and spend some quality time with the munchkins. Shaun took them shopping and they each picked me out new jammies & slippers. Faith's are blue & white with pink slippers, Ben chose black with funky colored skulls and black slippers. Shaun got me a couple of books I wanted to read and my parents sent me money & an Amazon card.
Afterwards, Morgan came to babysit and Shaun & I headed down to Fair Park for dinner and a musical. Dinner was yummy, "The Color Purple" was so-so, not really my kind of show but still a nice evening out.
My 4th graders got me a cookie cake the day before (since we don't have school on Tuesdays) which was entirely too sweet of my room mom to do. On top of that, it was Teacher Appreciation Day, so the parents put on lunch for us. :o)
32 seems OK so far, but I could do without the extra *white* hairs (thank you so much for the genetics Grandpa).
Advice for new parents: Beat the snaps
