This year, we have two main New Year's goals regarding meals. One is to get back to meal planning. We eat out less and save more money when we have a plan in place. No plan and we end up defaulting to meals out, which is NOT a good idea. But this year, I'm also adding a new goal to try at least one new recipe per week. It might be dinner or breakfast or baking, but I want to try something new each week.
This week, we are having:
Sunday 1/1 - Dumplings (coming home from Keystone)
Monday 1/2 - BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers, chili
Tuesday 1/3 - Meatball Sub Casserole New Recipe!
Wednesday - Fried Rice (what exactly I'm frying with the rice is still up in the air, need to look at leftovers and freezer first)
Thursday - Shredded BBQ chicken pockets (hoping for enough leftovers to make BBQ chicken pizzas!)
Friday - Beef and veggie stew
Saturday - Leftovers or stuffed baked potatoes, we'll be skiing at Keystone all day
For treats, we have brownies already made, plus some leftover Christmas cookies, so no baking right now
