Our 4th of July Weekend #HomeRoadtrip

For the 4th of July weekend, we opted for a staycation instead of a vacation.  Since we just moved to Washington, staying in our local area wasn't too big a deal.  We have so many things we'd like to see, so we could be busy for days on end checking out the museums, the parks, even the Sound (my kids have never lived near water before).

We planned a special Home Road Trip, thanks to Fox Home Insiders, and took Oh along with us as we went to explore our new home.  Check out our earlier post to see all the cool goodies Fox sent to help us plan what to do.

What did we do?
  • Check out the waterpark & amusement park close to our house
  • Go book shopping since we have one of my favorite bookstores nearby
  • Go to the Fourth of July parade and festival in our little town
  • Take Dante-dog to the beach at Puget Sound and see if he would go in the water

What is still on our list?
  • Several museums that were closed over the holiday weekend
  • More time at the waterpark which is easy since we bought season passes
  • Another book outlet I found online
  • Sight seeing in Seattle

Oh went along with us on our adventure and the kids enjoyed posing him in all sorts of places, though we never did quite get our roller coaster ride photo!

We'll be living here at least another 18 months, so I'm sure we'll get through a lot of our must-do items and we'll definitely be enjoying our Home goodies for a long time to come!

Disclosure: The goodies in this post, including the iPad Air and digital copy of Home, were provided to me as part of my relationship with Fox Home Entertainment Insiders. All opinions expressed are my own.
