Today we built periscopes.
Faith did a wonderful job with very little help from me. She needed me to hold a few things in place while she started hammering but otherwise was able to put hers together on her own.
Ben, well, let's just say if I didn't already have a broken thumbnail, he would have broken it off one of the many times he bopped me with the hammer. The boy is a little too fond of whacking things. It really didn't matter if it was the things he was supposed to it (nails) or other things (my left hand). But he did have a grand old time.
In two weeks, they get to build a "Goofy Golf Game". My father will be here at that point. It's high time for an outing with hammers & grandpa.
