Now that we've finished our Disney Princess shopping spree, even picking up the elusive (or just out of stock in our one store) MagiClip Castle, Miss Faith and I decided it was time to wrap our gifts.
We discovered Princess wrapping paper at Walmart and picked up two rolls of that, along with fancy ribbon and a few other little decorations. We also debated sewing drawstring reusable bags for the gifts, but the boxes were bigger than I had the fabric for. I did sew a few mini gift bags for the 2 packs of Little People Princesses and other stocking stuffers, just out of whatever spare fabric I had laying around.
Then Faith and I decided to tackle the big boxes. We debated wrapping one of the gifts in a Disney throw blanket too, but the little girl we ordered the personalized throw for is actually getting a different big gift. Next year, I think I'll try to coordinate better, but she did lend me her throw to see how well it worked!
Faith and I grabbed the MagiClip Castle next. My favorite boxes are the nice, square, flat kind that make it easy to wrap, tie bows, etc. Faith picked Cinderella paper, shiny blue satin ribbon, and a mitten ornament to do this package. I love buy the $1 or less ornaments for a pretty package decoration. This one was 97cents at Walmart. We also made a matching Cinderella gift tag with a scrap of wrapping paper, a bit of scrapbook paper and a felt pen. Most of what I had was red & green and didn't match nearly as well.
Last up was the Cinderella Transforming Coach. Unfortunately, it's got a slightly odd box, with an open front, so I had to be extra careful wrapping it. We did the best we could with pink Princess paper, given the odd shape, then add more silk ribbon loosely around the middle area and tied two candy ornaments into the bow. This would be the perfect gift to wrap in a throw (the horse's ear poked through my paper twice).
What's your favorite creative way to wrap gifts? I'm really liking the idea of the reusable bags, but I probably need to think about making them before it's a week till Christmas!

Apparently, I only have enough Mickey Mouse fabric to do gift bags,
but it's still really cute!
