Del Monte Fruit Cups #SmartSnack

We're always on the look out for new snacks, especially ones that F&B can take to school.  Due to their schedules this year, they have the option to bring a healthy snack for their morning break, as long as it's easy to eat within the classroom.  Typically, I send things like granola bars, yogurt, cheese sticks or easy to eat fruits.

These flavors sound amazing!

Now, since my two tend to eat a whole lot of fruit, especially during the school day, we were excited to try the new flavors of the Del Monte fruit cups.  We headed out to Walmart, to get groceries and snacks, and picked up both the Del Monte Apples and Pears with Caramel and the Pears with Vanilla and Spice.  Honestly, they both sounded really really good to me.

Since the kids were back to school today, they of course had to try out the new fruit cups.  The verdict?  They loved them.  I don't remember which kid had which flavor, but since they were both raving about them, I'm taking that as a good sign!  And, as a mom, I happen to like that they are only 60 calories each, gluten free and free of high fructose corn syrup.  Morning snacks at school are just to tide the over till lunch, not a substitute for lunch and certainly don't need to be sugar overloads.
