Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Birthday Decorations

What else does a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles birthday party need after you have TMNT cupcakes and pizza?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles decorations, of course!

Since Ben's birthday party was being held on location, I wanted easy to use, budget friendly decorations.  Our local craft store had a number of items on sale in June and July in summer colors, including an awesome shade of green.  I picked up striped napkins, striped bags, key lime candy melts, solid plastic green Solo-style cups, and green and white paper fans, all for a fraction of the regular price.

The paper fans were one of my favorite parts.  I saw assorted online options for putting printables in them, making them into turtles, etc.  Since Ben received a bunch of TMNT items from us and my family, I cut scenes and logos from those boxes to affix in the middle of each fan with hot glue.  We ended up hanging these from the tables at different angles.

The key lime candy melts were just an added find at the last minute, so we made key lime popcorn.  Just melt the candy melts in the microwave and toss with popcorn (I bought bags of ready-made popcorn at the grocery).  Sprinkle some green sugar crystals into it, then let it cool, set, and bag it up.  We used the green and white striped bags so it matched.

For favors, I turned the green Solo-style cups into turtles!  They were quite thick/heavy, definitely not a disposable cup.  I wrapped a segment of washi tape around the middle of each, then hot glued googly eyes to make the turtle bandana.  We put TMNT lollipops, fruit snacks, and other candies into each for party favors.
