It's no secret that we are crazy excited to see Finding Dory when it comes out next week. I actually have two tickets to a sneak preview, so I suggested the kids work it out between the two of them to figure out who gets to go with me.
In the meantime, we've been working on Dory-themed bentos, sharing cute Dory printables, and checking out the Dory's Ocean Secrets book from Parragon Books as part of their Book Buddies Program! We get to check out fun new books and share them on the blog!
The book itself is recommended for ages 4-8, but would require a lot of parental help for many of the activities for a 4 year old. On the flip side, it would be lovely for an 8 year old, as almost a mini scrapbook or journal of their favorite people and things. I would also say that some of the material in the books really assumes you've seen the movie, so if spoilers are a big deal, watch the movie first!

Follow Dory on her ocean adventure as she sets out to find her family. Meet the residents of the Marine Life Institute, draw a picture of your best pals, and choose what ocean creature you d like to be. There s so much to do and discover inside!Rather than just a storybook, Dory's Ocean Secrets is filled with activities. There's plenty of areas where your child can fill in their answers to questions, draw pictures, take quizzes, and more. The boy immediately sat down to check it out. His favorites, unsurprisingly, was the Ocean Fact File pages since he does love marine life. Both kids chatted about the questions inside and had to take the quizzes (and yes, they are 10 and 13). It was definitely a cute book and it's beautifully illustrated as one expects from Disney books.
