Sun Tail Mermaid Tails {Review}

Who wouldn't love to be a mermaid?

Mermaid swim fins are an awesome holiday gift and not just for the little ones on your list.  This year, we are partnering with Sun Tail Mermaid Tails and it was my 15 year old who desperately wanted one!  She has mermaid aspirations too.

Sun Tail Mermaid tails come in both child and adult sizes, so there is no age limit on being a mermaid.  Each set comes with a a mono fin "tail flipper" and a choice of mermaid tails to go over it in a variety of colors. The colors are simply beautiful, we had a hard time picking one, but Faith finally decided on the "Aurora Borealis", a lavender and blue combination with scale detailing and sequins. The mermaid tails are made from an 80/20 spandex material and features a 4-way stretch.

The monofin can be used separately from the mermaid tail, especially when learning to swim with a single flipper.  Each monofin fits tightly to the feet for swimming, then the mermaid tail suit fits over the fin/feet and legs.  Velcro straps ensure a snug fit on the fin.  The padded tips, pictured below are to protect the mermaid suit and are removable when only the monofin is in use.

Faith has tried out mono fins before and we are so looking forward to the weather warming up in Colorado so she can go swimming with her mermaid tail.  I can't wait to see her test it out in the water.  We also need to find the perfect matching mermaid top to wear with it, Sun Tail Mermaid also sells matching ones.

Besides mermaid tails, Sun Tail Mermaids sells a combination of the monofin with a shark fin that straps to wearer's back.  If your little one isn't wanting to be a mermaid, a shark fin and tail would be another great option.
