Last month, we had the chance to preview Disney's COCO. I've been waiting for this movie, ever since we saw the first previews, especially since the dog is named Dante.
And, as usual, Disney Pixar did an amazing job with their latest film--the music, the animation, the storyline, we absolutely loved it!
In Coco, a young boy named Miguel dreams of being a musical star like his hero, Ernesto de la Cruz. Unfortunately for Miguel, his family has banned music for generations and he is left to only dream. After fighting with his family to play in a talent show on Día de Muertos, Miguel runs away. He ends up in the Land of the Dead where he meets his deceased family members and searches for Ernesto for his blessing, all with the help of Hector, a skeleton who wants his own family to remember him.
I was curious how a Day of the Dead themed movie would play out and Disney Pixar did not disappoint. We will definitely be adding this to the movies we own when it eventually releases on DVD, but until then, I'm tempted to go watch it a second time.
We have some awesome Coco themed printables for you. We've printed several of our own and the coloring pages are definitely a favorite, especially if you design the characters to fit in in the Land of the Dead.

Disclosure: The information above, the printables, and tickets to the preview of Coco were provided to me by Disney. All opinions are my own.
