Celebrate Summer with Keystone Science School Camps

We were excited to work with Keystone Science School this year to share more about their camp programs!

The boy even got a chance to check out one of their Spring Into Adventure Camps, a weekend camp designed to give campers a preview of their longer camps, including great outdoor and nature activities.

Camp programming is designed to develop a strong sense of community through science, adventure, and fun, and the boy definitely agreed with that.  He had a great time all weekend and, as one of the older campers, got to take on a bit of a leadership role with the younger campers.

Each session is a bit different, covering science aspects based on weather and season.  During Ben's camp, they focused on animal adaptations in the winter, while exploring the Keystone Science School campus.  He even got to cross country ski, a great treat for my typically downhill skiing kid.

During the summer, the activities change, but the fun doesn't. Hiking, archery, and other exploring are all included within their curriculum, and the science topics switch to summer seasonal ones. It would be amazing to learn more about environmental science, forest or aquatic ecology, water management and conservation, or fire ecology in person, right in the mountains.

Keystone Science School is located in Keystone, Colorado, about an hour to an hour and a half from Denver, or about two and a half hours from Colorado Springs. Campers also have the option of meeting in Morrison, Colorado for a shuttle to camp for an additional fee.

Summer camp begins June 10, 2019, with day camp for local residents, along with overnight camp, wilderness adventure, and counselor assistant programs.

Disclosure: We are partnering with Keystone Science Schools. My son received a weekend at their Spring into Adventure Camp in order for us to share more about their programming. All opinions are my own.
