Our Favorite Christmas Ideas for Teens

Time for Christmas shopping this year, and it's definitely a different kind of year.

We had originally talked about trips or other experience gifts for our teens, but I'm a little concerned that those might not be possible.  I still want some cool items under the tree and teens aren't always the easiest to shop for.  Besides the usual AirPods, iPhones, and gaming systems, here are a few of our picks for some fun ideas!

DC's Stargirl: Season One is one of our new favorite series.  It's always good to have something new to binge watch and we'd recommend it for sure.  The DVD currently retails for $19.96 and the Blu-Ray for $22.99 on Amazon, so it's an awesome stocking stuffer.

We got the chance to test out the Monster Truck Championship game from Nacon earlier this year.

The game is currently available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and the Nintendo Switch and is the first ever Monster Truck Simulation video game. Players can buy, upgrade, and customize their own monster trucks. The game sets up a motor racing experience where local or online victory depends solely on their driving skills too!

The game is currently available for on Amazon from $19.99 to $39.99, depending on the platform.

We love table top and card games, and this one is a perfect stocking stuffer. RingMaster: Welcome to the Big Top, is a fast-paced exciting game for two to four players ages 13 and up.

Players compete to build a circus with the hottest stars and attractions that will dazzle the biggest audience. It’s a play-anywhere game, including a stylish carrying pouch for on-the-go players and available for $9.95 on Amazon.

Another awesome game we got the chance to try out, Mind the Gap is actually a great family game. It's designed to be played with all generations, from Boomers down to Gen Z. To win, teams have to answer questions from each of the four generations. I might be biased, but the Gen X questions are the best.

We've already played a bunch and it really is a hysterical family game, whether it's dancing or singing to a song you remember or attempting to explain pop culture to the other generations.  You can order Mind the Gap from Amazon for $29.99.

We really are watching a lot more movies lately, and we're always looking for new ones. One of the most successful live-action video game film franchises of all time gets an upgrade with the Resident Evil 4K Ultra HD Collection.

The collection includes include Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse (both the original theatrical version and an extended cut), Resident Evil: Extinction, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Resident Evil: Retribution and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter as well as hours of bonus content including rare archival featurettes . You can get the entire collection on Amazon for $78.38.

Who isn't obsessed with the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda right now? While we might not be buying huge LEGO sets anymore, this BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian & The Child Baby Yoda set is super cute. And it works well as a stocking stuffer for their desks later on.

The BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian & The Child Baby Yoda set is $19.95 on Amazon (or in stores at Target and Walmart too).

We still have some other kid-specific major items to buy, but we're trying to concentrate on fun items to help keep them busy this year.  There's even a NERF war in the works!
